The Abdominal Catheter Control Elastic Support System (ACCESS) was originally designed in 1998 to alleviate the unnecessary side effects a PD patient was experiencing from using tape to secure the catheter; the patient was also experiencing emotional anxiety and loss of self esteem from the obvious protrusion from the connector to the catheter. With the alleviation of the irritation to the abdominal area it was obvious that ACCESS was needed for all PD patients.
ACCESS is available in two stretchable fabrics and is custom fitted to maximize patient comfort. The cotton blend fabric is soft to the touch and the nylon fabric has the absorbent properties of a bathing suit to ideally support the catheter during showering.
Use of ACCESS discreetly insures stability of the catheter from the exit site to the connector, reduces the potential of exit site infection, and is doctor-recommended.
We are now approved providers of durable medical equipment for Medicare and accept insurance assignment, so there is no out-of-pocket expense to the patient. Call us today and we will explain how you may obtain your own custom fitted PD catheter supports at no cost.ACCESS LLC
The new NBV PD Belt is designed for comfort to provide smooth contact with the skin, affordability, and easy maintenance. Because of its elastic feature, it adjusts itself during stomach expansion and contraction. The photograph shows a belt size of 33–38”. Other sizes can also be supplied.
The NBV PD belt snugly fits around the waist, with the catheter hidden inside the pocket. The elastic part of the belt is hidden into sleeve. It is developed by NBV Innovations, LLC, and professional seamstresses. It is designed for any man or woman. The belt can be reversed depending upon which side the catheter exit site is located.
It is made out of Poplin material to add smoothness to the belt especially when it hugs the skin all day and night. If preferred, we can also supply in cotton. No Velcro will come in contact with the skin, as is common with some of the belts in the market.NBV Innovations, LLC
The PD Belt is a patented revolutionary product used by thousands of patients to help stabilize the exit site while securely storing the catheter tube and transfer unit. The belt was created by a former peritoneal dialysis patient for his personal use to fight bouts of peritonitis while on CAPD and CCPD. The belt was so successful, he began the process of producing the belt for others. Since its inception, the PD Belt has undergone numerous changes to improve performance and comfort. The PD-Belt comes in 5 convenient sizes to accommodate a wide range of patients: Pediatric (16”–24”), Small (23”–36”), Medium (30”–44”), Large (36”–48”), and XL (46”–58”).
Currently, the belt is the only device on the market to receive Medicare’s approval as well as a Medicare reimbursement number. This product is latex-free. 3 belts per package.Frank Stubbs Company
Why choose the PD Security Band? After many years of research and custom-fitting thousands of PD patients across the country, we are thoroughly convinced that the only way to properly support a PD catheter is by making it custom for the individual’s specific body shape and size.
Many of the patients who use the PD Security Band enjoy activities such as walking, jogging, basketball, golf, cheerleading, tennis, gardening, and so much more. Whatever your activities, you’ll enjoy the security and comfort of the PD Security Band.
“My patients who use the PD Security Band have the healthiest exit sites compared to my patients who do not use it.”
