Vlog Day: Dr. Mike Kraus Tells the World About PD and Home HD

I’ve been after Mike Kraus to write a blog for us (that offer is always open!), and here is the next best thing.

Today’s blog post is really a Vlog—a 32-minute video interview about home dialysis produced by the National Kidney Foundation of Indiana. Dr. Wendy Kindig interviews Dr. Mike Kraus from Indiana, who directs a LARGE home dialysis program (with ⅔ of patients at home!) about PD and home HD. They are joined by a PD and a home HD patient. Watch and learn!

What a guy! Such a humanitarian. Nothing phony about this doctor. We know who's side he is on - the patients!

Although the true heroes are all the patients who elect to take charge of their lives - and their own dialysis - and take it home ... the likes of Chris Blagg, Bob Lockridge, Tom Golper, Mike Kraus, and a small like band of 'envelope-pushers', are the true American dialysis physician heroes: those who have seen US dialysis for what it is and need not be, who have steadfastly set out the effect changes for the better, and whose teams resource their patients' dreams and return them to home.

So ... well done, Mike. A great 'Vlog' from a wise, humble, and committed man - and service - and from a dialysis physician who puts his patients first.
