  • MATCH-D — The Method to Assess Treatment Choices for Home Dialysis (MATCH-D) for Home Dialysis Central was developed by the Medical Education Institute to help nephrologists and dialysis staff identify and assess candidates for home dialysis therapies (PD and HHD). It is designed to sensitize clinicians to key issues about who can use home dialysis.

  • Dialysis Safety Checklist Tools — These checklists are meant to be used as a simple reference tool within hemodialysis facilities during orientation or training of newly-hired staff. They may also be used as a resource during infection prevention education or as a posted reminder of recommended practices.

  • ISHD — The International Society for Hemodialysis (ISHD) was formed in 1999 by a group of world-renowned nephrologists who believed that the science and clinical practice of hemodialysis was being overlooked by the other major societies and journals in favor of molecular biology and other basic science-focused research endeavors. Their vision was to develop a society and journal focused primarily on the practice of clinical hemodialysis.
Dialysis Registries
  • ANZDATA — Australia and New Zealand Dialysis and Transplant Registry. ANZDATA collects a wide range of statistics that relate to treatment outcomes of those with end-state renal failure.
  • ERA-EDTA — European Renal Association-European Dialysis and Transplant Association Registry. The ERA-EDTA Registry collects data on renal replacement therapy via the national and regional renal registries in Europe, and analyzes the data and distributes the resulting information through registry reports presented at the yearly ERA-EDTA Congresses, publications in nephrology journals, and their website.
  • RENINE — Registers data concerning dialysis and transplantation patients in the Netherlands; registration is made possible with the help of all the participating centers in the Netherlands.
  • USRDS — The United States Renal Data System is a national data system that collects, analyzes, and distributes information about end-stage renal disease in the United States.

  • Kidney Health Australia — Read Australian home dialysis newsletters for consumers and professionals and lots of other advice and tips for home treatments on this site. Note that, “If you are able to dialyse independently and do not have any health risks that lead you to having problems on the machine you may be able to dialyse alone.”
