Fact Sheet: Calendar Year 2025 End-Stage Renal Disease (ESRD) Prospective Payment System (PPS) Final Rule is published

Two provisions of the ESRD PPS have been highly anticipated—one with hope and the other with concern. In 2025 Medicare’s base bundled payment rate for dialysis will increase $2.80 from $271.02 to $273.82. In 2025, phosphate binders will be included with a transitional drug add-on payment adjustment (TDAPA) of $36.41 on monthly claims that include these drugs.
