As of 10/1/2025, Medicare Stopped Paying for Most Telehealth Until Congress Acts
Some exceptions include rural patients and telehealth for behavioral health. A National Kidney Foundation Action Alert allows advocates to write legislators at https://kidney.quorum.us/campaign/126818/ NOTE: By a prior law, stable home dialysis patients can see a nephrologist by telehealth for two of three monthly home dialysis visits per quarter if they saw that doctor monthly during the first 3 months of home dialysis.
