Follow the Money…to PD

An analysis of more than 600,000 U.S. dialyzers finds that use of less-costly and more patient-friendly PD is thus far the big winner after a 2011 CMS policy change favoring PD reimbursement. There were gains in patients starting on PD, switching to it from HD, and staying on PD.
