ADC Keynote Speaker Skeptical that Executive Order Goals Will be Met Via Policy
Brent W. Miller, MD, does not believe that policy goals with carrots and sticks will get us to 80% of new ESRD patients to home dialysis or a kidney transplant by 2025. Speaking at the Annual Dialysis Conference, Miller noted that physician champions and increased numbers of home dialysis nurses will be vital—and that home dialysis retention is at least as challenging as recruitment.
