Counseling and Assistance Could Help Reduce PD Dropout
Anxiety, depression, and loss of social support, or inability to tolerate the number of treatment sessions accounted for 63% of the PD dropout rate in a study of 83 patients, 24 of whom stopped doing PD. Counseling for patients and care partners and assisted PD were suggested as interventions to help.
