Common Aquaporin Gene Variation Could Make PD Less Effective for Some
A research team has found that mutations in the AQP1 gene at rs2075574 affect how a patient’s body performs ultrafiltration, which can impact the outcome of PD treatments. The mutation was found in 14% of a sample of 1,851 adults.
