I’ve been on dialysis for 6 years now; the first year on peritoneal dialysis (PD), then 8 months in my local hospital (in the UK) doing hemodialysis (HD) and the rest on home hemodialysis (HHD).

Having now had kidney disease, and multiple different complications and learning from it, I have found that there are things that only “patients” learn about doctors, and the medical system.

My Home Haemo Routines (I’m a Creature of Habit)

I do home haemodialysis, every other day, overnight (nocturnal) for between 8 & 9 hours, and that is the key routine that everything else serves.
