Affordable Care Act’s Enhanced Premium Tax Credits (ePTC) End 12/31/2025
Those who earn 400% of federal poverty or less ($62,600 for an individual) will still get ePTCs with lower credits in 2026. Those with higher income who get help now will not receive credits for premiums. Dialysis patients who kept ACA plans instead of Medicare could pay more; they may switch to Medicare but may have higher Part B premiums. This switch could affect revenues for dialysis clinics and nephrologists if ACA plans reimbursed more than Medicare. Congress can choose to address this.
