on results of using the SDM-DC tool developed at Aarhus University
Hospital in Denmark suggest that informed patient choice using a
decision aid may be the Holy Grail of home
therapies. Use of the tool among 484 patients followed for 5
years found astounding rates of home dialysis choice. Just 32% of
