U.S. Home Dialysis is Growing!

According to Eric D. Weinhandl, PhD, MS speaking at ASN Kidney Week, home dialysis use rose from 11.6% to 14.5% from 2016 to 2021 (a 25% increase), with PD use up from 10.0% to 12.2% (a 22% increase) and home HD use up from 1.57% to 2.31% (a 47% increase). Growth was higher among people who had been on dialysis for less than 10 years.
